The End of an Era

The Beast's Lair is closing its doors. At least for now. I may return in due time and reopen the Lair for a very specific purpose, like movie reviews and the like.

But not to worry! The journey continues at my new website, www.philipmeade.com. This will be my new blog and home for all kinds of things that interest me.

So BOOKMARK NOW the new site, www.philipmeade.com. I will be back on track with blogging regularly. There are also some additional features of the new site, so go there now!

If you are a subscriber to "The Beast's Lair" you will need to re-subscribe to philipmeade.com. There are links there to help you with that.

Thanks for making The Beast's Lair such an incredible success. I will see you at the other site. I can't wait.

Three Things

1. I have mentioned this already, but a new blog is coming soon where I will be once again consistently blogging on matters of theology, church, life, and peanut butter. Stay with me, I promise it is almost here.

2. Did anyone see Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve last night? Lionel Richie was one of the "co-hosts" and he looked younger than he did in 1984 when he was belting out "Hello."

3. Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington was honored with the "Comeback Player of the Year Award." This is his second year in a row winning the award. Um...uh?

In Case You Are Missing It. . .

The RexandtheBeast.com survey of our favorite Christmas songs is actually quite interesting. Thus far, Rex and I have listed our four "runner-up" songs which will be followed by our top 5 favorite Christmas songs of all time.

So far, these songs have made my runner-up category:

Born To Die by Bebo Norman
The Chipmunk Song
I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day
Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy

The Beast is Still Kickin

Yep, I'm still here. A new blog/website is in the works, so by January I hope to be back in full blogging mode. Until then, my blogging time is limited with Seminary finals, Advent, and of course, a baby girl named Callie Grace.

For now, here are two thoughts:

1. When writing your monthly article for the church newsletter, especially when you are trying to make an impact with an Advent theme, don't use the word illicit in the place of elicit.

2. Apparently when doing the invocation for a community Thanksgiving service where a Baptist, Methodist, and Christian Church are worshipping together, you should follow the traditional Latin "Model Prayer" version. I guess only me and my Presbyterian buddies say "debts" instead of "trespasses." But hey, "debts" is in the KJV and we all know that is the only true authority.

Halloween with Callie Grace

You can check out a bunch of Halloween pictures of us and Callie Grace over at our Meade Family Diary - bookmark that site because we will be updating it regularly.

Below is a picture we found to be pretty darn funny. Callie looks like she is passed out, which she was actually. Chances are Andi and I should have been holding her little head up, but instead we just let it fall backwards. She's ok though, so no worries!

Happy Halloween.

Morning

It will be morning soon. Halloween morning. It will be a very busy day for me.
